Mentoring

men·tor

  1. A wise and trusted counselor or teacher.
  2. Mentor - Greek Mythology - Odysseus's trusted counselor, in whose guise Athena became the guardian and teacher of Telemachus.

Origins

Mentoring is a powerful and popular way to develop both professional and personal skills. Mentoring is derived from Greek Mythology. Homer, great Greek storyteller, wrote about Odysseus and his great friend, whose name was Mentor. Odysseus asked Mentor to look after Odysseus's son Telemachus while Odysseus was away from home.

Mentors

Mentoring requires an experienced mentor, usually a senior person with great experience, and a student or "mentee" that is being mentored or guided along their learning curve. The mentor observes and oversees all aspects of mentee's learning process. The mentor points out all good and bad things that the mentee does during the mentoring process.

Mastery process

Our mentoring process is directed at creating internal mentors within your organization. We believe that only through educating and mentoring others, one can master the topic of their research. Similarly to a Kung Fu school, where the mastery of the Martial Arts is being taught through teaching other students, we are the masters of computer programming art. We will instruct your staff how to successfully transfer their knowledge to other members of their team.
