Mentoring Methodology
Our mentoring process has several phases:
- Informal Review
- Needs Assessment
- Gap Analysis
- Personalization
- Execution
- Evaluation
Informal Review
We perform informal interviews with both the management team and students in the mentoring program. We identify the purpose of the mentoring program and share it with the team. We develop a working environment with group supporting structures. All initial meetings and introductions are finished after completing this stage.
Needs Assessment
We identify the responsibilities and key tasks for every individual in the program. Based on their job-description, we identify the list of needs for the team. We document the skill sets and assess the skill level.
Gap Analysis
We compare the existing skills and required skills. We identify the essential gaps in the skills and knowledge of people in the mentoring class.
Personalization
We create personal learning plan for each individual in the mentoring program. Each individual has its own set of goals and measures. We identify the resources needed to teach skills identified in the Gap Analysis. At this stage, each individual has its own personal learning plan and all activities are scheduled. This phase concludes the planning stage of the mentoring program.
Execution
After careful and diligent planning, we are ready to start executing our mentoring program. Students in the mentoring program typically meet with with their mentor on a daily basis. At these one-on-one meetings, mentor guides the student through difficult and abstract concepts covered in class or in the reading.
Evaluation
This is a final stage of our mentoring program. At this stage, we evaluate skill level of our students and compare that to what they planned. We create a report on each individual's progress and success.
